The Theotokos holding the Christ Child crowns the entrance of a Greek Orthodox church, set within a weathered stone arch above carved wooden doors. The Byzantine-style mosaic presents Mary as the God-bearer, enthroned in sacred stillness with the young Jesus seated close to her, their halos declaring holiness and divine identity. The placement above the doorway turns the threshold into a confession of faith: worshippers enter the church under the sign of the Incarnation, where the eternal Son of God is revealed in the arms of His mother.
