Description
The Parable of the Pounds is portrayed as a solemn meeting between a noble master and his servants beneath a columned terrace overlooking distant water and hills. The master, robed in dignity, extends his hand as a servant presents a money pouch, while another servant stands behind him and a third waits apart with guarded posture. The faithful stewardship of entrusted money is the central subject: servants are called to give account for what they have done while their lord was away. In Luke 19:11-27, Jesus tells this parable near Jerusalem to correct expectations of an immediate kingdom and to teach that His servants must work faithfully until His return. The related Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 emphasizes the same kingdom principle: what is entrusted by the master must be used with obedience, courage, and fruitfulness. This artwork is well suited for sermons, Bible studies, stewardship teaching, discipleship resources, and ministry lessons on accountability before Christ.
