Description
Weathered stone walls, broken blocks, and standing column fragments mark an ancient Greek archaeological site, with grasses and wild growth reclaiming the spaces between the masonry. The ruins speak to the Greco-Roman world in which the early church first carried the gospel across the Mediterranean. For Christian teaching, the setting can support themes of Paul’s missionary journeys, the spread of the gospel among Gentile cities, and the contrast between earthly civilizations and the enduring kingdom of God.
